Bill Allen, oil services executive convicted in Alaska corruption, due for release from prison

A major figure in an Alaska political corruption scandal is expected to complete his prison sentence next week.

Federal Bureau of Prisons records show Bill Allen, who was convicted of bribery and related tax charges, is scheduled for release Tuesday. He has been at a halfway house in New Mexico.
